The outbreak of Foot and Mouth in the area during 2001 unfortunately resulted in the closure of flying sites, and the suspension of the SE Wales XC League for most of the year.
Prior to the outbreak, there were however three entries for the Winter XC League, so the Club was at least able to declare a winner for that competition.
