Road access:From the M4 at Bridgend, or from the Rhondda on the A4061. Alternatively from Maesteg and Port Talbot on the A4017.
Parking:Use the car parks, do not obstruct the road.
Take-off:Hang gliders should carry up, rig and take-off from the hill behind the road (minimal carry). Watch out for rotor at the back of the hill. Paragiders can take-off in front of, and to the East of the road.
Landing:Top landings on top of the hill (A) can be turbulent, and must be very precise. Beware of severe rotor behind the cliffs. There is also a very real danger of being pushed back into the valley behind the hill.
The hang glider bottom landing (B) is a narrow strip at the bottom of the valley, and can not be reached by paragliders. Paragliders should use the track area (C) on the bend in the road. This can also be used for hang glider "fly on the wall" landings. The whole bowl is very rough ground.
