The Blorenge Party and Fly-in is back again in 2009.

The Blorenge Party and Fly-in is going to be one of this Summer‘s must-attend events.
The event will again be based along side the river Usk, on 20 acres of picturesque river meadows, at Pen-y-Worlod Farm in Abergavenny. This year the BPC are sharing the venue with us, so it should be a great opportunity to mingle with pilots from all over the country.
This spectacular location has ample space for the marquees, food stands, camping, and toilet blocks, with enough room left over for a good sized landing field for paraglider pilots. Hang glider pilots should however use the nearby landing field at Castle Meadows.
As in previous years, this will be a family orientated event.
We will again be providing a free minibus shuttle service to take pilots to and from whichever of our sites are flyable over the weekend, and this year there will also be showers on site for a quick clean up after a good days flying.
This year we have two marquees, so there will be a seperate marquee for traders. This is proving popular, so there should be a good selection of wings, harnesses and accessories on view over the weekend. The BHPA will also be attending this year, and have booked a stand in the Traders Marquee.
Mark Leavesley will also be putting on a spectacular model aircraft display, and John Sylvester will be giving a talk about his experiences with cross-country flying.
A local brewery will be supplying the beer, and will be making a special brew just for pilots. Mark Leavesley will be gigging with his band on Saturday night, and there will further bands playing on Sunday night.
There will again be a hog roast on Saturday night, and a catering company on site to supply food throughout the weekend from dawn till dusk.
Three nights camping, Friday, Saturday and Sunday night, is included in the ticket price.

Mark is also looking for volunteer drivers over 25 years of age with less than 6 points on their license to help out with the minibus service, in return for free entry to the event. So if you have any friends that don‘t fly, but would like to come along and drive, please email Mark Pearson.
